A new GERMAN plant in Serbia: A job for 300 people and „big news for the entire BANAT“
The German company ZF has opened a plant for production of car, boat and rail components at the industrial zone in Pancevo, where, as announced earlier, around 300 people will be employed initially. EUR 100 million was invested in the construction of the plant in the first phase, and ZF has announced additional investments and employment of more than 1,000 workers, as well as the construction of a scientific research centre across 5,000 square metres. The German company had received more than nine hectares of building land from the town of Pancevo without compensation, and the construction of plant began in June last year. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has attended opening of the plant, who has said that this event is a big day, not just for Pancevo, Banat and Vojvodina, but for the entire Serbia as well.
