BIZLife list „30 under 30“: Marko Kecman, Design and Construction Manager, Delta Real Estate
Marko has a master’s degree in civil engineering. He acquired his work habits during his undergraduate studies by actively participating in student organizations and in the role of Student Vice-Dean.
He joined Delta Holding in 2015 as a participant in the „Young Leaders“ program. He realized his first business engagements in the member company Delta Real Estate, which is one of the leading regional companies in the field of real estate. There, he had the opportunity to participate in the construction of over 140,000 square metres of facilities for various purposes, but he would emphasize the most the position of manager of the shopping mall project in Banja Luka, encompassing an area of 63,000 square metres.
He is currently in the position of design and construction manager and manages the construction of the new Delta House office building, which will be the business headquarters of tDelta Holding. One of the most interesting business experiences, as he points out, is the period when he performed the role of the CEO in the oil processing plant „Dunavka“, in Veliko Gradiste.
Why did you decide to stay in Serbia?
First and foremost, because of the huge support of my family. Also because I had great support in a company that offers knowledge sharing, where I had the opportunity to work with very professional people, to progress and achieve the goals I wanted to achieve. Of course, also because I love Serbia.
What did you want to be when you were little?
I have always been attracted to my current profession.
Favourite school subjects?
Mathematics and physical education. Even today, I think that science and sports are a perfect combination.
Business role model?
I have several role models and I look up to successful individuals in my work environment.
