BIZLife list „30 under 30“: Milos Stojanovic, Planning Manager, Neoplanta

Milos was born in Novi Sad, and he spent his childhood in the village of Knicanin. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Subotica. Immediately after completing his master’s studies at the same faculty, he got the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant. The time spent at that job was a significant life lesson. He gained practical experience in working with people, he learned to communicate with them as concretely, clearly and concisely as possible, and he stayed up to date with trends in the field of economics.

However, he considers the decision to continue his career in the field of planning in the food industry one of the best decisions. In the company Neoplanta, he was in all the positions within the planning sector and, after four years, he came to the position which he still holds – the planning manager. In that position, he organizes the entire production on a daily basis, manages the stocks of materials and finished products, coordinates with all the company sectors in order to harmonize the needs with the production possibilities. The dynamic environment and the changes that are happening continuously, along with working with numbers, are the conditions in which he copes best. In addition to work, he loves sports and plays street basketball.

Why have you decided to stay in Serbia?

I believe that in Serbia you can succeed through independent work and effort. I wanted to show this by my personal example and that was a strong motivator for me not to think about leaving, not only the country but also my family and friends. I want my contribution to be seen in the country I call my own. Succeeding in the country of your ancestors and future generations carries a special significance.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

A professor. I fulfilled that wish at the Faculty of Economics by being a teaching assistant in two faculty courses.

    Favourite subject at school?

    Geography.

    Business role model?

It cannot be portrayed in one person, it rather represents the sum of people I have met throughout my career. Everyone has one thing in common and that is dominant – to be a good person.
