Hotels in Ohrid and Struga will offer cheaper reservations for tourists from Serbia by up to 20 percent from May to October, depending on the length of stay, the Association of Hoteliers of Northern Macedonia (HOTAM) announced.

The goal of hoteliers in Northern Macedonia is to encourage Serbian tourists to spend their summer vacation at the Lake Ohrid or stay a few more days after returning from a summer vacation in Greece, instead of just spending one night, Alsat TV station reported.

Half board, with breakfast and dinner in a four-star hotel, will cost around EUR 25, said the President of HOTAM, Krste Blazeski.

So far, more than 90 percent of hotels have accepted the idea of ​​price reduction, Blazeski said, adding that travel agencies from Northern Macedonia and Serbia will also have these special packages to offer.

Hoteliers say that with this initiative, they want to support the Government’s recommendation on benefits for the citizens of Serbia as a token of gratitude for the free vaccines they sent to Northern Macedonia.
