A new PRODUCTION HALT at Fiat – not to stock up supplies

Fiat’s production lanes were once again halted until November 4^th, when workers will return from paid leave, Plant’s Independent Trade Union told „Beta“ agency in Kragujevac. The last working day for production workers at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia (FCA) was October 18^th. According to President of the Trade Union Zoran Markovic, the new halt is „a result of adjustments between production and demand“ and the fact that the FCA does not produce cars for „supplies“. Markovic said there were several more non-working days in October that were „lost“ due to problems with suppliers. FCA workers were on a paid leave from September 19^th to October 1^st as well.
