„Additional restrictive measures most likely as of tomorrow, in Belgrade for sure“

The Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that restrictive measures would most likely be introduced in several cities tomorrow, similar to those introduced by certain local self-governments in the past few days due to the outbreak of covid-19. She said on Pink TV station that a meeting of the Crisis Staff for the Suppression of the Infectious Disease Covid-19 would be held tomorrow at 10, and that complete ban on movement or gathering would not be introduced, as it was the case during curfew. She reminded that for now various forms of curfew have been introduced in Novi Pazar, Kragujevac, Uzice and Vranje. According to her, the measures will be in force in certain cities, but not on the entire territory of Serbia. „Belgrade will certainly be one of those cities, as it has the most infected people, not per capita, but in total, as two thirds of all infected people are in Belgrade. It is mostly younger population, thus we will look at how to target measures and solve that problem at the given time. She also stated that night clubs would be „certainly“ banned, and that the ban or restriction of the work hours of restaurants would also be considered. She said that she „thought about what is smart (in the current situation)“ and it is „obvious“ that the corona will be present until the vaccine against covid-19 is developed.
