ADOPTED: Protective measures – an OBLIGATION for EVERYONE

The Serbian government has made a decision that all citizens and businessmen are obliged to adhere to protective measures for the entire duration of the danger from spreading the contagious disease COVID-19. Suspension of teaching in premises of the institutions of higher education, secondary and primary schools, as well as suspension of work of those institutions is in force as long as the danger of spreading the infectious disease COVID-19 lasts, the Government announced. Certain educational activities can be organized in premises of institutions, with application and respect to all protective measures. During their stay in parks and public areas intended for recreation, citizens are obliged to maintain a distance of two meters from each other. Employers who perform activities in the field of retail trade, services in the field of catering, as well as entrepreneurs in shopping centres, are obliged to apply all preventive measures for the purpose of supressing the infectious disease COVID-19. Bookmakers can perform their business in facilities that do not exceed 400 square meters, with implementation of all mandatory protective measures. Personal documents that have expired during curfew will be considered valid if requests for the issuance of new ones are submitted within 30 days from the date of termination of the curfew. The Government also adopted a decision on non-refundable financial assistance from the budget in the net amount of RSD 30,000 a month, for a period of three months, to persons who have the status of independent artistic or perform other cultural activities determined by a representative cultural association in accordance with the Law on Culture. Furthermore, the Government agreed at the session to send a letter to the Euroleague Basketball organization, which guarantees participants of the 2019/2020 finals entry to the Republic of Serbia.
