Air Serbia terminates Nis-Budapest route

Air Serbia has announced that, based on the decision by the Serbian government, it would terminate the Nis-Budapest route after 27 October. „The decision is a result of the low interest of the citizens of southern Serbia in travelling to the Hungarian capital, but also of the desire not to allow the said route to impair the good results of the remaining routes of public importance from Nis,“ the statement from Air Serbia says. Air Serbia states that after consultations with the representatives of the local self-government and relevant state institutions, it has started to take action to discontinue all the activities on that route. „All the passengers who have purchased tickets for the flights between Nis and Budapest after 27 October will be refunded,“ the statement says.
