An ad causes a stir in Serbia – who is behind „the most beautiful job that pays EUR 1,000“

They call it the most beautiful job in Serbia. All it takes is to be an adventurer who enjoys finding and presenting the natural beauty of Serbia. And yes, you will be paid EUR 1,000 for that. Per month.

Due to its specificity, the advertisement posted on social networks has attracted a lot of attention in traditional media, and that is exactly what its authors counted on – finding the best candidate, but also receiving greater media attention.

In an interview with the BIZLife portal, this is explained by Biljana Marceta, the author of Serbianadventures.com, an online platform for booking tours in Serbia.

As she explains, this is a non-profit platform designed to connect tour operators and tourists, while promoting travelling and vacations in our country. The system presents about 150 tours and vacation programs, 60 different tour operators and it covers more than 200 destinations in Serbia.

A participation requirement for tour operators is that prices must not exceed those at which they offer their services in their agencies and through other sales channels. Tourists use this platform free of charge and tour operators are also allowed to present their tours free of charge.

The payments for services are not made through the platform; instead, it only provides the presentation of tours, a search based on various parameters and on-line booking. Tourists pay for services directly to tour operators. The website is bilingual, in Serbian and English, intended for local and foreign tourists. Tourists can rate each tour, after its completion, and they can post comments, which are then displayed on the tour page.
