Another half a million doses of Sinopharm vaccine arrived in Serbia
A new contingent of Chinese vaccines Sinopharm against the coronavirus has been delivered to Serbia.
The contingent was greeted at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport by the Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic and the Chinese Ambassador, Chen Bo.
Ana Brnabic stated that with the new delivery of half a million doses, Serbia received a total of 2.5 million doses of vaccines from China.
All other vaccines, she adds, we have just under a million doses.
She says that with tomorrow’s delivery of 106,420 doses of “Pfizer” vaccine, we will have a total of 3.5 million vaccines.
“We paid for all the vaccines, as well as for everything we received from the COVAX system. This delivery speaks enough about the partnership with China and how much our partners from China and the company Sinopharm acknowledged our needs and helped us to continue with campaign of mass immunization according to plans,” Brnabic pointed out.
She pointed out that the fact we have 26 percent of the total adult population vaccinated with at least one dose, and 20 percent with two doses, is encouraging.
