Around EUR120 million for two cable operators

“Telekom Srbija” spent around EUR120 million to buy two cable operators, the “Novosti” reports.

Serbian state-owned telecommunications operator paid around EUR108 million for “Radijus vektor” and around EUR12.5 million for “AVcom”.

Together with the previous acquisition, purchase of the cable operator “Kopernikus”, that is concluded at the end of last year, “Telekom” has increased the number of users by more than 338,000.

Along with 200,000 users of “Kopernikus” cable television and internet, “Telekom” users were also joined by 120,000 households and business users in the “Radijus vektor” network and around 18,000 of “AVcom” users.

Serbian “Telekom” plans several more acquisitions as well – several smaller operators, which purchase should end by this year’s April. All this is stipulated within “Million plus” strategy, via which “Telekom” would have more than a million users of TV and Internet in the following period.
