BC Partners is the majority owner of United Group

The international investment company BC Partners has announced the completion of the process of acquiring the majority stake in the United Group from the KKR investment fund, after receiving all the necessary regulatory approvals.

KKR and the management team of the United Group will retain a significant minority stake, the statement says.

Established in Serbia, with a seat in Amsterdam, the United Group is the leading provider of media and communication services in Southeast Europe.

Over the past 18 years, this group has expanded its market share through organic growth and acquisitions, and now it has more than 4,400 employees and provides services in more than 1.8 million homes.

Partner in BC Partners Nikos Stathopoulos has said that the attractive and integrated business model and a regional leading position of the United Group provide an excellent platform for further organic growth and strategic acquisitions across Europe.
