The reason for a large number of people seen in the center of Belgrade this Saturday was the nice weather, but also the organized vaccination for the citizens of neighboring countries who came to Serbia in large numbers to get vaccinated, many of whom will spend the weekend in the capital.

Today, Belgrade and Serbia are the „centre of the region“ for vaccination.

A large number of citizens came to be vaccinated at the Belgrade Fair, the queues are longer than usual, and they include many foreigners and citizens of neighbouring countries, mostly from Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia.

In addition, at the invitation of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, a large number of businessmen from the region came, for whom vaccination was also organized.

According to four people from Sarajevo, who came to be vaccinated on their own initiative and without prior notification, the crowds are huge, and the lines are several hundred meters long.

Although they planned to return to Sarajevo immediately after being vaccinated, upon arriving at the fair, they realized that their turn would not come soon and that they would have to spend the night in Belgrade in order to be vaccinated on Sunday.

Hence the increased demand for accommodation in Belgrade, as well as the number of people who could be encountered in the city centre.

Thus, in addition to the nice weather that „drove“ people out, it is not surprising that the stretch from Knez Mihailova Street to Kalemegdan was brimming with people.

Although the restaurants were closed, many managed to get takeaway coffee and sit in the central streets in the gardens of cafes which, although not working, did not remove chairs and tables.
