Belgrade REDUCES RENT by 50% in facilities owned by the city

Rent for businessmen who perform hospitality or cinematographic services in commercial properties where the owner of public property rights is the City of Belgrade, was reduced today by 50 percent, by the decision of the City Assembly.

Explaining the decision at the City Assembly session, Deputy Mayor Goran Vesic specified that the city would give up part of the earnings from rent in the amount of around 350,000 euros.

„The 50% reduction of the lease refers to the period December 2020 – January 2021,“ he said.

The deputy mayor stated that Belgrade was advocating for prolonging the working hours of hospitality facilities.

„The economy must not be too damaged, because then there will be no money for the protection of public health, which is certainly the greatest interest, which is why a balance needs to be found,“ Vesic pointed out.
