BIZLife “30 under 30” list: Nevena Nikolic, Head of Financial Advisory Sector, Deloitte

Nevena has been a part of Deloitte since 2013, and this is also her first job. For six years, she worked as a member of the team in the Audit Sector, where after four years she became a manager, while currently, for a year, she is in the position of a manager in the Financial Advisory Sector. The job she was entrusted with also brings great responsibilities and numerous challenges for a young team leader. She has been a lecturer at several expert assemblies in the field of international accounting standards, as well as a lecturer to younger colleagues in the field of auditing, where she singles out a regional lecture in Sibenik for colleagues from the entire cluster.

Through her work in these sectors, Nevena met a large number of clients from various industries, participated in significant purchase and sales transactions of companies and visited production facilities from the north to the south part of our country, but also the region.

Nevena holds the title of Master of Economic Sciences at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade and is in the process of obtaining an ACCA license. In her free time, she reads popular psychology and likes to get away from the city.

Why did you decide to stay in Serbia?

I have always thought about how I would behave now if I was to work in an international environment, how people would treat me and what resources and information I would have access to. However, the knowledge I gained from colleagues from the immediate environment, both during my studies and at work, as well as access to international sources of information in the company in which I work, encouraged me to stay here.

What did you want to be when you were little?

    A psychologist.

    Favourite school subject?

    Arts.

    Business role model?

I am inspired by several colleagues from the immediate work environment, whose characteristics I try to incorporate, and I think about those very characteristics in the processes of my re-examination.
