    BIZLife „30 under 30“: Uros Djordjevic, entrepreneur, „Agrounik“

    Uros is the second generation in the family-owned company “Agrounik“, where he became CEO when he was 21 years old. He is currently attending EMBA Cotrugli Business School, for professional development. He has been intensively working on internationalization of the company, learning Russian language and developing positions on the Russian market, since “Agrounik“ successfully registered his “Slavol“ brand in the Russian Federation. Furthermore, his experience in the implementation of CRM system in field sales he transferred into his own software solution, which he currently implements in the company. Besides agriculture, Uros has diversified its production portfolio to the field of wastewater treatment. He has launched a new granular organic fertilizer that is an innovation in the field of fertilizers. In addition, there is a standard organization of two team buildings a year for 40 employees, for the purpose of developing social, sales and leadership skills, as well as professional development. This year he also organized collection of clothing and footwear within the company, and a visit to an elderly community centre, and each year the company donates funds to associations that care for sick children. Is there anything you had to renounce in order to get to where you are now? Since I was very young when I started working, I had to adjust my nights out and socializing, but I certainly always tried to keep this part of my life as active as possible. Did success reach you, or was it the other way round? Success is the result of one’s daily work one’s dedication to the goal. Every day I imagine a goal successfully accomplished, thus I think that I am moving towards success by doing this. What is the most important lesson you have learned in your work so far? I think that different interactions with business partners, colleagues and family have always carried a new lesson and I am learning from them to this day. Over the years, I have gone through various challenges that have influenced on my experience and confidence. I would also add that discipline, consistency and proactiveness are important attributes for achieving goals, both professionally and in private life, which I am developing to this day. What is the ultimate goal? The ultimate goal is to acquire the knowledge, skills and life experience that I will pass on to my successors, so that they could grow to become good people and potentially create value for the family company in the long run.
