The acquired skills and high grade point average at the faculty opened the doors of the business world to her. In 2013, during her undergraduate studies, she started her internship in marketing in the MK Group. She soon became an MK Group scholarship holder. After successful cooperation, Dunja came as reinforcement to the company’s controlling team, which has determined the course of her business career. Significant professional experience has allowed her to work on big merger and acquisition projects, as well as to cooperate with international financial institutions and banks. She emphasizes learning and working directly with an excellent management team and the president of the company as a great privilege and motivation. This experience, dedication, energy and ambition led Dunja to the position of a controlling senior. Dunja is now a member of the Finance Professional Hub, a project of the Association of Financial Directors of Serbia. She holds a CAE Cambridge certificate of advanced knowledge of English. She has been a passionate skier since she was a child, and in the summer she enjoys rollerblading and cycling.

Why have you decided to stay in Serbia?

Like many students, I was thinking about enrolling in master studies abroad. Just when I was preparing the documentation for application, I was on internship at MK Group and they offered me a one-year scholarship. Having realizing during my internship that I could do in Serbia everything I wanted to do abroad – to be part of big projects in one of the leading regional companies in agriculture, banking and tourism, and to work closely with top management, while at the same time having family and friends near me – the dilemma soon disappeared. During these seven years in MK Group, I have made a lot of progress and development, both on a professional and personal level. I have no regrets, staying in Serbia was the right decision.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

As a child, I wanted to be a math teacher.

    Favourite subject at school?

Mathematics. Numbers always take precedence over boring definitions.

    Business role model?

Miodrag Kostic. Incredible speed of thinking, logic of inference, unlimited memory of all the information and unbelievable energy, which he spreads.
