Construction of Belgrade-Sarajevo highway to commence in June
Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic has talked today to the investor, the project designer and the contractor for the future Belgrade-Sarajevo highway about the schedule and commencement of works on construction of the section through Serbia, from Sremska Raca to Kuzmin, which is planned for this year’s June.
„The construction of Belgrade-Sarajevo highway is important not just for Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, but for the entire region. Our strategic goal is connecting with the region, which, in addition to economic and political stability and infrastructural development, also means a better life for our citizens, Mihajlovic said, and Ministry announced in an official statement.
She added that „she expects full dedication from everyone, preparation of the necessary documentation and commencement of works on the section from Sremska Raca to Kuzmin in June.“
The commercial contract for the preparation of detailed regulation plans, planning and construction of the sections of Belgrade-Sarajevo highway was signed among the Serbian government, the public enterprise „Putevi Srbije“ and Turkish company „Tasyapi“ in Belgrade on December 19th, 2018.
