CRISIS April: Last year, 3,000 new entrepreneurs in Serbia, now not even 500
It could be said that the global coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on the Serbian economy, as shown by the data according to which 451 entrepreneurs started a new business in Serbia, while in the same month last year as many as 2,800 more entrepreneurs were registered. Businesses were severed back in April, when compared to the same month last year. According to the official data of the Serbian Business Registers Agency, 413 companies were founded in April 2020, accompanied with 451 entrepreneurs, while in April 2019 873 companies were founded, accompanied with 3,270 entrepreneurs, which is only a fifth of the number established last year.
