Discount for SERBIAN TOURISTS at a favourite holiday destination in North Macedonia

Mayor of Dojran, Ango Angov, and Director of the Agency for Support and Promotion of Tourism, Ljupco Janevski, have made the decision that tourists from Serbia who decide to spend their summer at Dojran Lake will get a discount on their stay in tourist and hotel facilities.

They will also be provided with free parking for their cars.

Dojran, as a tourist attraction of the region, lives from transit tourism and realizes about 150,000 overnight stays annually.

The offer for tourists from Serbia to visit Dojran Lake with certain discounts, followed in response to a recent donation from Serbia, which donated vaccines worth 700,000 euros to Macedonia’s healthcare system.

„With this gesture, we wanted to respond to the humaneness and solidarity that came from Serbia, and to help tourist workers and contribute to everyone in the times of crisis, tourists from Serbia who visit Macedonia as a tourist destination,“ said Ango Angov, Mayor of Dojran and Ljupco Janevski, director of the Agency for Support and Promotion of Tourism in Macedonia.

Namely, Dojran Lake is one of the favourite destinations of Serbian tourists for a break on the way to and from Greece.

Many of our tourists who spend their summers in the Thessaloniki region, or on Thassos, come to that North Macedonian lake on the border with Greece and spend there a few days, because they thus take a break during their trip and avoid crowds at the main border crossing Gevgelija.
