DOUBLE-DIGIT price increase: Drivers, prepare more money for ROAD TOLL
The Government of the Republic of Serbia has proposed a 12% price increase of road toll, Novi Sad Dnevnik reports. According to this newspaper, the higher price will apply when MPs of the Serbian Parliament adopt the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Fees for the Use of Public Resources. This bill was adopted by the Government of Serbia at the last session and it submitted it to the Serbian Parliament in an urgent procedure. The explanation of the Bill states that the current toll amount is lower than the real value and that the last increase took place on January 7, 2017. At that time, the toll was increased ten percent compared to the previous price. According to Dnevnik, toll from Novi Sad to Belgrade will cost RSD 235 instead of RSD 210. The toll from Belgrade to Subotica will cost RSD 627 instead of RSD 560.
