50 companies in Serbia are licensed to manufacture weapons and military equipment, the Ministry of Defence announced. The license is issued by the Ministry of Defence with a validity period of up to five years, with the possibility of extension. The condition is for a company to meet the requirements in terms of production capacity, technical and technological equipment and human resources, ability to ensure quality, industrial safety and health at work, environmental protection and fire protection. In addition to state-owned enterprises from the defence industry system, many companies whose names are unknown to the public are licensed, and they are registered in small towns, such as Brus, Sopot or Lipnicki Sor near Loznica.
