The US company NCR has officially commenced the construction of state-of-the-art technology campus. The cornerstone was laid in Block 42 in Novi Beograd, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended the ceremony. NCR will invest around US$ 90 million in this project. Campus building will spread across the area of around 30,000 square metres. It will have two floors below ground for parking, a ground floor which with retail and hospitality facilities and seven more floors of office space. Campus should receive its first employees at the end of 2020 or at the beginning of 2021. The company NCR creates software solutions and various types of technical support for clients from the sector of finance, retail, telecommunications and hospitality and it has been doing business in Serbia since 2012 and it employs more than 3,000 people. President Vucic said that Serbian government supported NCR’s investment with EUR 14 million. As he stated, between 4,000 to 5,000 people will work in the campus, and NCR is the US company that employs the biggest number of people in Serbia. “I am happy that our people are taking part in building of the future. Serbia needs knowledge more than ever, we need new technologies. We want to invest in local knowledge and help companies like NCR, and to have as many American companies as possible,” Vucic said.
