The Consumer Protection Association “Efektiva” claims that the Supreme Court of Cassation has confirmed that banks do not have the right to charge for “processing of loans”.
The latest verdict of the Supreme Court of Cassation confirmed that the bank does not have the right to charge for “the expenditures of processing loans”. This verdict is a result of an earlier reversal of a verdict made in the bank’s favour, according to a statement made by the “Efektiva”.
The Association considers the Court’s decision on the issue of charging for “loan processing costs” as final. The verdict confirms that the banks had no right to charge their clients for those fees, one of which amounted to 20.000 euros, the statement concludes.
