National flag carrier Air Serbia and Etihad Airways of the United Arab Emirates have arranged continuation of strategic partnership between the two airlines.

Etihad will keep its ownership of Air Serbia with a stake of 49 percent and is fully committed to existing partnership. The company of the United Arab Emirates will continue to support the majority owner of Air Serbia, the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic is satisfied with the decision to continue with strategic partnership.

“Five years since partnership has been established, Air Serbia stands firmly on its feet. Shareholders ’goal was to create new opportunities for the company and in that we succeeded. We are convinced that a time with even better results is ahead of us. We can be extremely satisfied with the perspective of our national flag carrier,” Brnabic has stated.

Current interim Director General Duncan Naysmith, as well as Declan Keller, who is at the position of Executive Director of Transportation, will remain in those positions until 31st of December 2018.
