Serbian Minister of Agriculture Branislav Nedimovic has said that the buyout price of raspberries of RSD 100 per kilogram, which has so far been offered at only one purchase place, would not be realistic. Nedimovic told reporters that he had also talked with the purchasers and producers, with whom his ministry is in constant communication, but that he could not affect the buyout price of raspberries. “It is very bad that only one point of buy-up appears, at which the buyout price is RSD 100; this is not the rule in Serbia. This one point, taken as an example, is actually a cold store in Loznica, which offered the current price of RSD 100, which is not realistic at the moment,” he said. Nedimovic believes it is too early to talk about the buyout price, because the raspberry harvest has not started yet and the quantity of that fruit that will be offered for sale is not known yet. “The rabbit is still in the woods, and we are already preparing the roast,” said the Minister of Agriculture.
