The second Digital Summit of the Western Balkans will be held on 4 and 5 April 2019, in Belgrade, within the Digital Week of Serbia, it was announced today by the Government of Serbia.
The summit will be opened by Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, Mariya Gabriel, and Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, Houlin Zhao.
The summit will also be attended by the ministers for the information society and digital agenda of the Western Balkans and the European Union, representatives of the European Commission, IT industry and economy from the region and the world.
As previously announced, the regional agreement on roaming of the countries of the Western Balkans will be signed at the summit, so that the prices of the calls would be lower by 25 percent as of 1 July.
The organization of the Digital Summit was initiated by the Berlin Process, an initiative aimed at improving regional cooperation, and the first such conference was held last year in Skopje.
