The budget surplus of Serbia at the end of October this year amounted to RSD 64.8 billion, as revenues amounted to RSD 1,047 billion and expenditures amounted to RSD 983.1 billion, the Ministry of Finance announced. At the general state level, in the period January-October, surplus amounted to RSD 47.7 billion and the primary fiscal surplus was RSD 150.1 billion. According to the annual general state budget execution plan, fiscal surplus of RSD 33.8 billion is planned for that period, which means that the result achieved is better by RSD 13.9 billion, the Ministry of Finance said. Serbia’s public debt at the end of October was about EUR 23.98 billion, which is 52 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), about the same as last month. At the end of 2018, public debt was EUR 23.01 billion, i.e. 53.7 percent of GDP.
