The Dutch company Royal De Heus has signed a contract for the purchase of the fodder factory Komponenta based in Cuprija, which will start operating by the end of 2018, after the renewal of production lines.

Komponenta was established in 1994 and it annually produced 70,000 tonnes of animal feed, but it went into receivership.

President of the Municipality of Cuprija, Ninoslav Eric, has said that the former owner has long been negotiating with the Dutch partners.

“The local self-government has supported the efforts for the company De Heus to come to Cuprija,” Eric said.

According to the management of that company, the advantage of the fodder factory in Cuprija is its geographical position because supplying the entire south of Serbia is easy, as well as fodder distribution in Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania.

The factory in Cuprija will be completely renovated, and the production line will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The investment is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

The Dutch company operates in more than 60 countries and it is one of top 15 animal feed suppliers in the world.
