Belgrade: Green PARKING ZONE is spreading – parts of Palilula and Zvezdara went GREEN

Since this weekend, a green parking zone has been introduced by the decision of the Secretariat for Transport in another part of the municipality of Palilula, as well as in the Zvezdara municipality, reports the Vecernje novosti daily. All the streets from Poenkarova to Ruzveltova and from Dimitrija Tucovica to Svetog Nikole “went green”. The new green zone in Palilula includes part of the city bordered by the streets: Poenkarova, from Cvijiceva to Dragoslava Srejovica, Mije Kovacevica, the right side of Ruzveltova and Cvijiceva. In the part of the municipality of Zvezdara, the newly formed part of the zone is bordered by the following streets: Ruzveltova and Mije Kovacevica (right side of Dimitrija Tucovica to Dragoslava Srejovica), Severni bulevar, Veljka Dugosevica, Svetog Nikole, Varovnicka and Dimitrija Tucovica. In the green zone, the maximum allowed parking time is 180 minutes, and control and the collection of parking fees are done every working day from 7 am to 9 pm and on Saturdays from 7 am to 2 pm. The price is 41 dinars per hour, and there is the possibility of extended 60-minute parking, and the price is then 140 dinars. Residents who have registered residence in the aforementioned streets in Zvezdara and Palilula, and who own a car in their own name, are entitled to a privileged parking ticket. In the first few days, parking service workers will inform citizens about the expansion of the green parking zone via flyers and notifications. Parking fee should start being charged as of next week
