The Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said at a press conference that this is the most difficult day for Serbia, because we have 36 new cases of the coronavirus infection, due to which he will propose a more severe curfew to the Government. “This number will increase day by day unless we change our behaviour. We have 11 or 12 people on respirators, one passed away. Thus, tonight I will propose new measures to the Government, that curfew lasts from 5 pm to 5 am, hoping that it will accept it,” the President said, pointing out that our discipline is not at an enviable level. He emphasized that the curfew would even be extended to 24 hours, if there is still large number of people on the streets. “We work and fight all day and all night, but our discipline is not at the highest level. I ask people to understand that we need this in order to survive. Do you people understand what is going on, I beg you, we are doing this to protect your lives, so please do not leave homes. If it is not enough by 5pm, the curfew will be until 1 pm on Monday and on Tuesday it will be round-the-clock. And I do not care whether you will love me or not,” Vucic said.
