Migrants from Syria and other Arab countries located in the Bujanovac Reception Centre sent a letter a few days ago to state authorities notifying them that they were available to provide assistance during the state of emergency, the Bujanovacke portal reports. “There are nurses, workers, farmers among us, but we are, above all, people who offer any kind of assistance that the Government deems necessary – from medical to distributing goods to quarantined people and street cleaning,” the migrants said. “The virus does not differentiate between local citizens and refugees, and that is why we stand side by side in a joint struggle,” it is stated in the letter written by the migrants, as reported by the Bujanovacke portal. Due to the situation with the coronavirus in Serbia, the Bujanovac-based Reception Centre, which accommodates about 250 migrants, organized the sewing of protective masks.
