Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic has stated today that the goal of newly formed Coordination Team for monitoring activities in field of economic migrations is to change the economic circumstances, in order to prevent people from leaving the country and bring back those who left.
Following the first session of this team, he has stated to journalists that it includes people of the Serbian government, as well as experts that will have “full freedom” with logistical support, and without meddling of politics.
“We want to change the way of thinking and relationship of state towards migration, so that we can turn back the time and become an interesting country for living, thus stopping migrations,” Djordjevic has said.
He has added that this expert team will make decisions in a short period of time, but it will also determine the strategy and action plan.
“In addition to demography, this is one of the most important projects for Serbia,” Djordjevic has said, reminding that state allocated much more funds for investments in citizens’ knowledge, their retraining and additional education when compared to the year before.
