Nominations for the best locations for shooting films, TV series and commercials awarded by the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI ) have been officially announced. For the first time, Serbia is on this list owing to the commercial “Organic Food for All” for the German brand Penny, shot at the centre of Belgrade. The Belgrade-based production company Emote and the entire local production design team, along with about 700 members of the team, extras and logistics workers who took part in the realization of the most ambitious advertising video shot in Serbia last year are credited for the impressive scenes of Terazije, Uzun Mirkova Street, the old railway bridge and the roofs of the blocks of Novi Beograd. The announcement of the winner and the award ceremony will be held on 21 September in Los Angeles. The Organic Food for All project was nominated in the competition with the projects Dream Crazy by Nike, nominated also for the Emmy Award, Huawei campaign with Gal Gadot filmed in Iceland, a commercial of National Geographic and the South India Bank filmed in Turkey. This fact shows that our advertising industry is comparable with the biggest advertising agencies in the world, and that it is as important for the promotion of Serbia’s creative and tourist image as movies.
