Darija graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, and after working at architectural bureaus, she became a part of the Young Leaders program at “Delta Holding” in 2017. She has worked on the following positions: design and construction assistant, design and construction coordinator, and is currently design and construction manager. As a project manager for architecture and project manager in the last phase of construction, she worked on the shopping mall “Delta Planet” in Banja Luka and is also involved in various company projects, such as: “Delta Business Incubator”, “Delta’s Future” and “Innovation Committee”. Is there anything you had to renounce in order to get to where you are now? Dreaming. Regardless of business commitments, training, sports, I always find time for friends, family and an active social life. Dream is the only thing I can give up. Did success reach you, or was it the other way round? I think that success cannot “come” to you by itself, although synchronization of significant number of factors is necessary for one to succeed, luck being one of them as well. After all: “Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity” (Seneca). What is the most important lesson you have learned in your work so far? If you are honest in what you do, the results are never missing. What is the ultimate goal? There is no ultimate goal. No matter how ambitious your current goals are you must be prepared to find something new to pursue when you meet them. I find purpose in the path towards fulfilment of a goal, and pleasure in celebrating victories. Favourite school subject? Physics. First job? Design bureau DA studio. Business role model? There is no individual I can consider as my role model. I am inspired by many people, and I also find role models in my surroundings. Motivational song? A poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling.
