BIZLife list “30 under 30”: Zarko Stevanovic, quiz master

Zarko Stevanović was born in Belgrade in 1994. He finished the elementary school “Vladislav Petkovic Dis” in Veliki Mokri Lug, after which he enrolled at “Osma beogradska gimnazija.” He enrolled at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 2013, but transferred to the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in 2015, which he is studying today. He participated in his first quiz in 2005, which was dubbed “Secrets of ordinary things”, and during it he was a member of the team that represented his elementary school. He made his first solo appearance at the beginning of 2011 in the TV quiz “Puzzle”, where he won third place. That same year he took part in the first Serbian Quizzing Championship, where he took 15th place. The following year brought not so noticeable participation in quizzes “The rip around the world” and “The great challenge”, but he did win second place at the World Quizzing Championship in the under-20 category. In 2013 he became the world champion in the same category for the first time, which he confirmed in 2014 when, in addition, he won the title at the Serbian Championship. That year he participated in the “Golden Circle” quiz with a team of other young quiz buffs, as part of “Prepunoglavci” team. In 2015 he appeared in “Chase” as a competitor and had a very successful participation. The following year he won the 94th cycle of TV quiz “Puzzle” and earned the right to participate in the grand-finals in 2017 which he, of course, won. That same year he became seeker in the “Chase” quiz on Radio-Television Serbia, as well as vice-champion of Serbian Quiz Cup. He works as a creator and host of the pub quiz “Inquisitor”. He was a part of Serbian national team at the European Quizzing Championship in Zagreb, where Serbia won the 13th place.
