Europe partially OPENED its borders for Serbia: We are RISKY for the Germans and the Swiss

Germany has announced that it is mitigating restrictions for the arrival of passengers from 11 countries that are not members of the European Union, but Serbia is not among them, the AP agency reported. Switzerland will also not open its borders for the citizens of Serbia, which remains in the group of „risky countries“. The EU Council has adopted recommendations on gradual opening of EU borders for citizens of 14 countries as of July 1st, including Serbia and Montenegro, but Germany did not accept the entire list. Montenegro remained on the list, and apart from Serbia, Algeria, Morocco and Rwanda were left out as well. The recommendations adopted by the EU Council are not legally binding, as jurisdiction over border management rests exclusively with member states. „Until the final decision of the German government is made, travel restrictions for Serbian citizens will continue to apply after June 30th as well,“ it was announced on the website of the German embassy. The notice also states that Serbian citizens with a residence permit or national visa of Germany will be allowed to enter only if the trip is for the purpose of returning to the place of permanent residence. Austria has also issued a warning for trips to countries of the Western Balkans that are not part of the EU, due to the spread of the coronavirus.
