Facility in Vranje employing 150 people commissioned by Danes

In the industrial zone “Bunusevac” in Vranje, a facility of the Danish company for the production of workwear Kentaur has been opened, where 150 sewing machines have been installed for the time being, and as many people got jobs. The owner of Kentaur, Bernt Dahl, said at the opening that the company had chosen Vranje primarily because of people, but also because of the support of the Serbian Development Agency and the town administration of Vranje, and that the company planned to increase initial production in the Vranje-based facility by 30 percent in the coming period. According to Danish Ambassador Anders Hougard, the fact that Danish companies have employed over 3,000 workers in southern Serbia testifies to the strong connection between Serbia and Denmark. In the next few years, 350 people will be employed in Vranje, Hougard said. Mayor of Vranje Slobodan Milenkovic said that „along with Corridor 10, the Kentaur facility is Vranje’s new connection with the world.“ „The work of the leading Danish manufacturer of workwear for hospitality and healthcare services, within the Free Zone in Vranje, will further promote the industrial zone as a generator of development of our town,“ said Milenkovic.
