FCA’s workers return to work, work instructions through an app

Workers of the Kragujevac-based factory Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Serbia (FCA), who will return to work at the beginning of next week after paid leave from March 16, received a text message from the employer with „basic information“ regarding the prevention of coronavirus spread. According to the Beta agency, the employees were told to take their temperature and if it exceeds 37.5 degrees, not to come to work, but to contact the competent outpatient clinic. It is stated that the employees’ temperature will be taken before entering the factory. The workers were told that the locker rooms would not be in use at the moment and that they needed to empty their lockers on the first day. Employees will have to bring their protective masks on the first working day after paid leave, after which the employer will provide them with appropriate protective equipment. It was also suggested to them to install the WhatsApp app through which their superiors will be able to inform them about work instructions. The Independent Trade Union of FCA in Kragujevac said that the production of Fiat 500L would be resumed in two shifts on Tuesday, July 7.
