Fees damaged everyone: „Without a different perspective, they will leave the country“
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated that, since Pristina had introduced a tax on goods from Serbia, both citizens of Serbia and Kosovo had suffered damage, evaluating that they would leave the country unless they were offered a different perspective. Asked by reporters about the announcement of Kosovo’s new Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, that he would annul the fee and introduce „reciprocal measures,“ Brnabic said it is important to leave the past behind and give citizens a different perspective, as citizens of Kosovo also suffered from price hikes and job shortage caused by fees. „Unless we offer citizens a different perspective, they will leave the country. This is not a way to move towards the future,“ she said. She noted that short-term moves, such as the opening of an airline route between Belgrade and Pristina and construction of roads, would offer citizens a better perspective.
