Four critical locations this morning: Pollution levels escalated, „VERY UNHEALTHY“ air (PHOTO)

The pollution that has been recorded in Serbia for days has reached its culmination this morning, as four cities are in a very high pollution zone. The four critical locations as of this morning are Nis, Belgrade, Valjevo and Kosjeric, according to results published by the website World’s Air Pollution: Real-time Air Quality Index. High concentration of harmful substances in the air was recorded. In Nis, as many as 217 micrograms of suspended particles per cubic meter of air were recorded, 191 in Belgrade, the Municipality of Stari Grad, while 192 micrograms were recorded in Valjevo and Kosjeric, which is evaluated as very unhealthy. On the scale of measuring air quality, this is only one step higher than the worst category – dangerous. This means that it is an emergency health situation and it can influence the entire population living in this area.
