GOING CHEAP: Greeks are selling HOTELS at the price of an apartment in Belgrade

Out of 10 Greek hotels, on average, three are currently open. This is a result of the decision of the Greek authorities to selectively open the borders, and they gave hoteliers who remained locked the amount of 800 to 1,500 euros „per room“, depending on the star rating.

The second wave of hotel sales is currently starting in Greece, after the spring one. A large number of hotels offered then are now also offered, but the prices are lower.

Therefore, buyers can choose among family hotels starting from 150,000 euros, which is the price of an apartment in the centre of Belgrade. For that amount, for example, a hotel in Nea Vrasna near the sea with four rooms and a large apartment is being sold.

A wide selection of hotels and towns is available for 300,000 euros. For that amount, a large number of buildings are sold in Halkidiki, Corfu, Lesobos, and even the Peloponnese, starting with the fashionable Nafplio, while in smaller towns around Sparta buildings are sold for 200,000 euros.

A buyer with half a million euros at his disposal is a „real king“ and he can even consider Santorini. On this island, where the rich spend their holidays, people can buy a hotel 40 meters away from the beach for 420,000 euros.

It is interesting that in Oia itself, where the view of the sunset is charged, a luxury hotel with superior apartments in traditional construction is sold for 800,000 euros. This price is unimaginable, because the hotel is located on a cascade, with a swimming pool overlooking the sea and until this year it charged 400 euros per night, and it was open 220 days a year and it was 95 percent full!
