Government adopts „My First Salary“ program
The Government of Serbia has adopted the Decree on the Program for Encouraging Youth Employment „My First Salary“, for the implementation of which funds in the amount of RSD 2 billion will be secured in 2020 and 2021, it is stated in a press release. As pointed out, this program creates additional opportunities for training, gaining first work experience and increasing opportunities for more competitive entry of young people into the labour market and their employment. The state will cover a part of the costs of their salary for ten thousand young people, who graduated from secondary schools and faculties, and thus motivate them to find their first job, and make it easier for employers to hire them. The funds will be forwarded to the National Employment Service, which implements the program. The new measures, which were adopted, are the result of a meeting held by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in the Serbian government with businessmen, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Cadez and Director of the National Employment Service Zoran Martinovic, the press release says.
