Kon is OPTIMISTIC: Everything is heading BACK to REGULAR life
Epidemiologist and member of the Crisis Staff, Dr. Predrag Kon, has said that he is optimistic when it comes to the epidemiological situation in Serbia, and he has announced a new easing of measures.
We are coming out of an uncertain situation, we expect that in the second half of June the situation will be stable, safe, but with the presence of the virus, and that is when we can seriously relax measures. We are looking forward to the acceleration of the decline in virus activity, Dr. Kon told Prva TV.
As he explained, the easing of measures refers to returning to regular life.
We will be able to carry out all the activities that we normally carry out with precautionary measures. We will be abolishing the obligation to wear masks the most slowly, this needs to be understood. We have dropped to double digits and the decline in the number of deaths is very important to achieve. When we see that the situation is completely calm, then there is no point in keeping everything closed, but precautionary measures will be in place, explained the epidemiologist.
When it comes to vaccinations, he hopes that more than 50 percent of the vaccinated population will be reached in entire Serbia, it is important that large cities reach that percentage because that will reduce infections in Belgrade and the spread of the virus from Belgrade, said Dr. Kon.
