Local Socio-Economic Councils to be established, the first one in Nis
Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Zoran Djordjevic has announced in Nis that a local Socio-Economic Council will soon be established in that town.
Following assembly of the Socio-Economic Council of the Republic of Serbia in Nis based Town Hall, he has said that there are 21 local socio-economic councils in Serbia, but only four of them are working which, as he has pointed out, is not enough.
„The more different reports we have from local authorities, the better the quality of our decisions will be. We cannot know the problems of local self-governments and what is going on if we do not have information from there, and local Socio-Economic Councils should provide that information“, the minister has said.
Djordjevic has announced that the Ministry of Labour and Socio-Economic Council of the Republic of Serbia will continue to initiate the establishment of local councils all over Serbia.
