LONGEST ban on movement: From Friday 5pm to Tuesday 5am
The ban on movement due to the coronavirus epidemic will run from Friday, 17 April 5pm until Tuesday, 21 April 5am. This means that the curfew in Serbia will last for 84 hours during the Easter holiday. Last weekend, curfew in Serbia lasted for 60 hours, that is, from Friday to Monday. The weekend before was „closed“ on Saturday at 1 pm. This Sunday, Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter based on the Julian calendar. The Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church has requested that people should be allowed to go out on Sunday from 5 am to 10 am. At a press conference dedicated to the coronavirus, experts pointed out that they were against the proposal.
