Mali: Kosovo DID NOT RECEIVE MEMBERSHIP at IOTA

The Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali has stated that Serbian Tax Administration has successfully defended membership of Kosovo Tax Administration to the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA). „This is great news for Serbia and yet another confirmation that we have succeeded in confirming the illegitimacy of so-called Kosovo institutions. Namely, we have proven that nothing can be achieved by force and without agreement with the official Belgrade,“ Mali has said and Serbian Ministry of Finance has announced. He has said that Serbia’s permanent policy is finding a compromise and a permanent solution for the issue of Kosovo, but it is necessary to respect the international law. „According to the current IOTA Charter, members of this organization can only be countries recognized by the United Nations,“ Minister Mali has pointed out, adding that Serbia will continue to fight with all its power in the future as well, to preserve the institutional legitimacy of its state bodies. The General Assembly of IOTA was held from July 1st to July 5th in Brussels, and membership was decided via secret voting. The delegation of the Tax Administration of Serbia, that attended that assembly, included Director Dragana Markovic and the main contact person for IOTA, Snezana Ilic.
