    Minister announced SIX MORE new highways

    We are commencing the construction of six new highways in this and the following year, announced the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic. The Minister held a meeting with all directors of „Putevi Srbije“, on which the main topic were major infrastructure projects. „During this and the following year, we will commence the construction of six new highways that are strategically important for Serbia’s development, and „Putevi Srbije“ is the investor and main contractor of a large number of these projects.“ State has secured the funds, contracts for new major projects have been signed, and it is now up to „Putevi Srbije“, together with the Ministry, to see to it that all projects are realized efficiently and that contractors comply with the deadlines, Mihajlovic has said. Representatives of „Putevi Srbije“ informed the Deputy Prime Minister about the work dynamics on the construction of highways, including sections where works have already commenced, from Sremska Raca to Kuzmin, from Preljina to Pozega and at the section of the Belgrade bypass from Ostruznica to Bubanj potok. Discussion also included preparations for the construction of the Ruma-Sabac-Loznica highway, where works are to commence in November, the upcoming construction of the Novi Beograd-Surcin highway and reconstruction of the Novi Pazar-Tutin road, as well as other projects under the jurisdiction of „Putevi Srbije“.
