More severe measures: „ISOLATION from Friday to Monday FAIRLY CERTAIN“

The Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has said that he does not think we are neither far nor close to the decision to implement a 24-hour curfew, as that is evaluated on a daily basis and based on recommendations from doctors and profession. Commenting on the statement by epidemiologist Predrag Kon, that total curfew would make sense in Belgrade, Vucic, while having guest appearance at RTS, has pointed out that he „would not rule out such decision“. „If necessary, we would make that decision quickly and with efficiency. And such decision does not have to be announced 48 hours earlier, because I don’t think it would be such a problem and it would not last for very long time,“ the President has emphasized. According to him, the extension of curfew during past weekend had results, but that he is „guilty of not imposing a curfew from Friday to Monday morning.“ „Saturday morning cost us dearly, as many had barbecue at picnic grounds. I am telling you right away that curfew would probably be from Friday to Monday, but it is yet to be decided from what time on Friday. We will see what the doctors say. We will most certainly adopt this measure, namely for Belgrade and Nis, while for other towns we would have to see,“ Vucic has announced. He has added that he is upset every night when he sees how many people are dying and how number of those infected is increases, reminding that all measures are being taken to save lives. Vucic has also stressed that this year it will not be possible to celebrate the Easter with numerous family members and with friends.
