NBS: Foreign INVESTMENTS already reach two BILLION euros

The value of FDI this year by July reached 2 billion euros, says Governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Jorgovanka Tabakovic, who expects this growth trend to continue by the end of the year. Presenting the 2018 NBS Performance Report at the session of the Serbian Parliament’s Committee on Finance, State Budget and Public Fund Spending Control, she said that the trend meant that this year the amount of foreign direct investments would be higher than in the previous year, when they reached 3.5 billion euros. She stated that the central bank’s profit in 2008 amounted to RSD 30.7 billion and that the amount of RSD 9.3 billion was paid to the budget. „Last year was another successful year because financial and price stability was preserved, which made it easier and safer to do business in Serbia,“ Tabakovic said.
